Attention Businesses Who Joined Capital Bankcard Prior to June, 2017:


To provide easier and more comprehensive account access, we launched a new merchant portal last year that provides you, our valued Merchant, with an enhanced dashboard to view and access transaction data and a streamlined login process.  You will also be able to manage your PCI compliance status with new customized tools, including an enhanced Self-Assessment Questionnaire. This is just the first of many improvements to the portal you’ll see throughout the next few years.  Please note that you may be contacted to update your security credentials and we will also provide you with a new username and password for the new portal in the coming months.


Back in 2016 Capital Bankcard Corporate, located in downtown Boston, MA., introduced this new Security Plus Program (SPP) which provides you with enhanced security features and increased breach protection.  As your processing partner, our goal is to provide you with a secure and compliant platform for your payment transactions.  We continually assess improvement opportunities and implement tougher security standards to protect your business.  As part of our Security Plus Program, we have been making such improvements as; enhancements to our point-to-point encryption infrastructure, TLS 1.2 upgrades and additional developments to enable all our merchants to benefit from the enhanced security that EMV chip cards bring.  Additionally, to simplify your merchant bill, we will include the new annual location fees associated with accepting MasterCard in the Security Plus program.


To better support our merchants, we are increasing the protection offered by our Breach Assistance Program (BAP) from $10,000 to $25,000, per merchant, to help offset the costs incurred for card replacement and or other costs related to a data breach.

Your monthly Security Plus fee will be $19.95, and will appear as a separate line item under the Miscellaneous Fees section of your statement.  It will be deducted monthly from your designated settlement account.  This is important protection that we hope you will not need to utilize.  Please note that continuing your merchant account with us represents your acceptance of these terms.  If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact us at the customer service number listed below.
